Welcome to Boredflix (“the App”). By downloading or using Boredflix, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. 1. Overview Boredflix is an entertainment discovery application that helps users find movies, TV shows, and K-dramas using AI-powered recommendations, short-form videos, mood-based suggestions, and official data sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB). Boredflix does not stream full movies or TV episodes. We only provide metadata, trailers, watch providers, and recommendations. 2. Eligibility You must be at least 13 years old to use Boredflix. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. 3. License to Use the App We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Boredflix for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not: Copy, modify, or distribute the app Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the source code Use the app for illegal streaming or infringing activities Scrape or misuse TMDB data 4. Content & Third-Party Services 4.1 TMDB Data Boredflix uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to provide: Movie details TV series details K-drama content Cast, trailers, ratings, images Attribution: “This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.” TMDB data is subject to TMDB’s own Terms. 4.2 YouTube Videos Some trailers and teasers may be shown through the YouTube Player API. YouTube content is governed by: YouTube Terms of Service Google Privacy Policy We do not control or host any YouTube videos. 4.3 External Watch Providers We may link you to third-party streaming services such as: Netflix Hulu Amazon Prime Video Disney+ Max We are not affiliated with these services, and you must follow their Terms of Use. 5. User Accounts Boredflix does not require an account to function. Favorites, preferences, and quiz answers are stored locally on your device. If we introduce optional accounts later, updated terms will apply. 6. User Responsibilities By using the app, you agree to: Use the app only for legal entertainment discovery Not misuse TMDB or YouTube content Not attempt to manipulate analytics, coins, or rewards Respect copyright and streaming rights of third parties You also agree not to upload or input harmful content. 7. Coins, Rewards & Premium Features Boredflix includes optional: Virtual coins Rewarded ads Premium filters Short-based rewards Coins have no real-world monetary value and: Cannot be sold Cannot be cashed out Are non-refundable May be reset if abuse is detected We reserve the right to adjust reward values and features. 8. Ads & Monetization The app may display ads using: Google AdMob Rewarded video ads By using the app, you agree that ads may appear unless you purchase a premium, ad-free experience (if offered). 9. Calendar Access If you choose to add a watch reminder: Boredflix creates an event in your Calendar Boredflix does not read or modify existing events Calendar use is optional 10. Voice Search & Microphone Voice search requires: Microphone permission Speech recognition permission Audio is not stored or transmitted by us. Only the recognized text is used for search purposes. 11. Analytics & Data Usage We may use analytics providers (Firebase, Mixpanel) to collect: App usage Session behavior Crash logs Interaction patterns This helps improve app performance and features. We do not collect personal identity information. 12. Intellectual Property All Boredflix branding, design elements, features, animations, and content are protected by copyright. You may not copy or reuse any part of the app without permission. Movie and TV content remains the property of: TMDB Studios Content owners 13. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to: Use the app for piracy or illegal streaming Interfere with the app’s functionality Use bots, automation, or reverse engineering Circumvent purchase or reward mechanisms Violation may result in access termination. 14. Updates & Changes We may update the App or these Terms at any time. When major changes occur, we will notify you within the App or via our website. Continued use of Boredflix means you accept updated Terms. 15. Disclaimer Boredflix is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee: Accuracy of TMDB data Trailer availability Compatibility with all devices Uninterrupted operation Use the App at your own risk. 16. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law: Boredflix is not responsible for damages, losses, or interruptions We are not liable for third-party services, provider links, or ads Responsibility for streaming subscriptions remains with the user 17. Termination We reserve the right to terminate or suspend App access for: Violations of these Terms Abuse of features Security breaches
