Information You Provide Boredflix does not require account creation or personal information. We only collect data you voluntarily provide: Favorites (movies/series/K-dramas you save) Calendar events you choose to add (watch reminders) These are stored locally on your device unless you use iOS Calendar integration. 1.2. Automatically Collected Information The App collects non-personal data necessary for functionality and analytics: Usage Data Screens viewed Button taps Time spent in the app Content discovery behavior Interaction with the daily mood quiz Trailer views and impressions Device Information Device model, OS version, system language General region (non-precise) for content relevance App version, crash logs, performance events Identifiers (if ads enabled) Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — used by AdMob Firebase Installation ID Mixpanel distinct ID These do not reveal your identity. 1.3. Voice Search Data If you use voice search, the App will request: Microphone permission Speech recognition permission Voice audio is not stored or uploaded. Apple’s on-device speech recognition converts speech to text, and only the text is used for the search. 1.4. Calendar Data If you choose “Add to Calendar”: The App creates an event in your Calendar app. It does not read, modify, or access your other calendar events. 2. How We Use Your Information We use collected data to: Provide personalized content recommendations Deliver daily mood-based suggestions Show AI-powered Bored-Fit Scores Improve app performance and stability Analyze user engagement Power the TikTok-style discovery feed Offer coin rewards, gamification, and streak tracking Show relevant ads (if enabled) We never sell your personal data. 3. Third-Party Services Boredflix integrates with the following third-party tools: 3.1. TMDB (The Movie Database) We use TMDB to fetch: Movies TV series K-Drama Posters, backdrops, metadata, ratings TMDB does not receive personal data from you. Required Attribution: “This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.” 3.2. YouTube We use YouTube video keys from TMDB for: Official trailers Teasers Shorts-style previews Videos play using YouTube’s official player, following YouTube API Terms. 3.3. Firebase (Google) Used for: Analytics Crash reports Remote configuration Data: Device info & usage statistics (non-personal). 3.4. Mixpanel Used for: Behavior analytics Feature usage insights Data: Event tracking (anonymous identifiers). 3.5. AdMob (Google Ads) If ads are enabled: Collects device identifiers (IDFA) for ad personalization You may opt out of personalized ads via device settings 4. Data Storage & Retention Content favorites and settings → Stored on your device Analytics identifiers → Reset when app is reinstalled Crash logs → Temporary retention by Firebase No sensitive personal data is stored or transmitted We retain data only as needed to operate and improve the App. 5. Children's Privacy Boredflix is not intended for children under 13 years. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 6. Your Choices You can: Disable personalized ads in device settings Reset or delete app data by uninstalling the app Decline microphone/speech permissions (voice search disabled) Decline calendar permission (calendar integration disabled) Disable analytics tracking via Settings (if implemented) 7. Security We use modern security practices and encrypted connections (HTTPS). However, no digital platform can guarantee 100% security. 8.
